New water lines for 76 Susquehanna given the green light

Tony Ganguzza from Boyle Construction advised Jim Thorpe council that they submitted a supplement water service application for a new 2-inch water line for 76 Susquehanna St.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation approved the supplement, and Ganguzza asked council to ratify the supplement so that construction can begin on the new water line.

Councilman Jay Miller expressed some dissatisfaction in the way the permit was handled, that such permits should go through the Jim Thorpe Borough first.

Boyle Construction will need to apply for a second supplement to cap the old water line once the new one is operational.

A motion was made and approved to ratify the first supplement, and to ratify the second one conditioned upon it being reviewed by the Public Service Manager and the Water Superintendent.
