Carbon County Friends of Animals will host a drive-thru chicken and beef dinner fundraiser.

The event will take place at the shelter, located at 77 W. 13th St., Jim Thorpe from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Nov. 7.

Tickets are now available for both of the dinners, which include mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, coleslaw and a dinner roll, for $10. The event is advance tickets only.

There will be free delivery available for people who make advance arrangements by calling the shelter at 570-325-9400 or email ktweet@ptd.net or Dunbardana99@yahoo.com. A second dinner pickup site is also being planned for somewhere in Mahoning Township. If you are interested in picking up in Mahoning, you must ask about the site when purchasing a ticket. This will allow the correct meals to be at each site.
