PV says welcome with signs

The first day of school is a proud day for parents of kindergartners.

Panther Valley Elementary School kindergarten families will be able to show that pride for their neighbors thanks to a gift from the school.

Teachers and administrators have been handing out yard signs to families enrolling in the Panther Valley Class of 2034.

The black and yellow signs, which were purchased by the school’s Parent Teacher Organization, say “Look out Kindergarten, Here I Come.”

Teachers said it’s been a positive reaction. Families have been posting pictures with their signs.

It’s also given teachers a chance to welcome the families to the school district.

Teachers are excited to resume full-day classes after last year’s schedule was affected by COVID restrictions.

The first day for Panther Valley students is Aug. 30.

“We are excited for nice transition back to a normal year,” kindergarten teacher Tina Marie Frets said.
