Arrested for DUI

Sean Gallagher, 23, of 18675 Terrace North, Jupiter, Florida, faces charges after an incident which took place on May 2 at 7:41 p.m. at Bertsch and Cortright streets, Lansford Charges were filed by borough officers Brian Horos and Joshua Tom. Gallagher is charged with driving under the influence and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was committed to Carbon County prison under $3,000 bail.

According to an affidavit of probable cause, here's what happened:The officers were on duty when they received a call that a possibly intoxicated man was driving from the parking lot of Boyer's Market. They saw a vehicle matching the description given by the caller at West Bertsch and Cortright streets.The windshield of the car was completely smashed, obstructing the driver's view. When police tried to stop the car, the driver hit the curb, nearly going up onto the sidewalk. Police made contact with the driver and identified him as Gallagher. His speech was slurred, his eyes glassy and he could not maintain his balance. He was field tested for sobriety and failed due to his inability to maintain balance. Gallagher was arrested for DUI and taken for blood alcohol tests.
