Lee A. Kreidler of Palmerton has been named assistant superintendent of the Parkland School District.

The appointment was made at last evening’s school board meeting and is the first such position in the administration.

Kreidler was hired at a salary of $21,500 a year on a three-year contract.

He has served as principal of the Slatington Junior High School for the past six years and previously taught science in the Slatington High School.

Kreidler hopes to develop a long range plan for the Parkland district and the coordination of that plan with the Pennsylvania State Education Quality Assessment Survey.
