The public is invited to attend the Link at the Lake Awareness Walk at 9 a.m. Sunday at Mauch Chunk Lake Park in Jim Thorpe, rain or shine.

This is a relaxed event that brings people together and helps to raise money to benefit The Link for suicide awareness and prevention in Carbon and Schuylkill counties.Pre-registration is encouraged. To register, submit the registration form shown on the website event page. Cost to attend is $5 per person. Children under 10 years old are free.All attendees must complete, sign and submit the registration form before the event or during the registration hour (9 to 10 a.m.) before the walk.The trail is not even terrain. Participants can walk as much or as little as they choose.A pavilion will be provided during the event, but seating will be limited.
