State police at Hazleton reported a crash occurred at 3:10 a.m. on June 26 along Stockton Mountain Road in Hazle Township.

Troopers said Tyler J. Frederick, 24, of Hazleton, and Andrew L. Nahay, 59, of McAdoo, were both traveling on Stockton Mountain Road when Nahay applied his brakes to avoid a deer. Frederick was unable to stop and his 2000 Jeep Cherokee hit the rear of Nahay’s 2014 Ford F250 truck. No one was injured. The Jeep was towed. Frederick was cited for following too closely.
