VANDERGRIFT (AP) - Two western Pennsylvania man have been jailed on charges they received crystal methamphetamine in the mail from California.
Vandergrift police say the drugs, though less than an ounce, were worth about $20,000 if sold on the street.Police say 42-year-old Michael Medina and 32-year-old Paul Connor recently moved to Vandergrift, a small borough about 30 miles northeast of Pittsburgh, about a month ago.They were arrested Saturday after police detected the drug in a package delivered to their home.Police believe the men were receiving similar shipments once a week.Online court records don't list attorneys for the men, who remained in the Westmoreland County jail on Monday.They face a preliminary hearing Jan. 12 on charges including possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine.
