Lehighton Borough Council took the following action on Monday:

• Agreed to purchase two SITHE Chopper Pumps for the Mahoning Street Pump Station in the amount of $23,030 from sewer capital reserves.

• Denied a request from Traci Kocis for loading zone parking at 366 N. First St.

• Approved the intermunicipal agreement for the transportation of sanitary sewage for 770 State Road.

• Approved a resolution authorizing the execution of the Fourth Amendment to the 2013-2017 non-pool energy purchase schedule with AMP.

• Agreed to hold the 2021 Halloween Parade on Oct. 9, with a rain date of Oct. 10.

• Approved the requests for the second annual Back the Blue Ride on Aug. 8, with a rain date of Aug. 14.

• Approved the request from TNT Auto Repair for Friday Night Car Cruises from roughly 5-9 p.m. Aug. 13, Sept. 10 and Oct. 8.

• Ratified all items in the COVID-19 action plan.
