Northern Lehigh School Board approved the following curriculum and instruction items at Monday’s special school board meeting:
• Renewed the Institute for Teaching and Leading service contract to provide consulting services in the area of learning model design and administrator coaching related to virtual teaching and learning at a cost of $39,780, to be funded through the ESSER grant.
• Scholastic Education LitCamp as a supplemental literacy program for the 2021-2022 school year, to be funded through the ESSER grant.
• Renewed the Renaissance Accelerated Reader, Star Math and Star Reading contract for the 2021-2022 school year at a cost of $12,123.
• Renewed the Unique Learning System service contract for special needs students for the 2021-2022 school year at a cost of $1,747, an increase of $83 from last year, to be funded through medical access.
• Character Strong for Middle School SEL Lessons at a cost of $2,898 for the 2021-2022 school year, to be funded through the ESSER II grant.
• Community Services for Children to operate the Head Start Pre-K program at Peters Elementary School from Aug. 1, 2021, through July 31, 2022. The only obligation to the district is to provide one classroom.
• Lori Middaugh, helping teacher, for Katelyn Hugo, inductee, $800; Jason Graver, helping teacher, for Mildred Gomez, inductee, $200; Sarah Kunkel, helping teacher, for Mildred Gomez, $800; Julie Everett, helping teacher for Amy Shonk, inductee, $200; Elizabeth Fleming, helping teacher for Amy Shonk, inductee, $800.
- Terry Ahner
