Shoemaker-Haydt Unit 314 American Legion Auxiliary, Lehighton, honored present and past Auxiliary presidents. They were given a dinner at the Beacon 443 Diner and a gift. Honored were: Millie German, 1990, 1997, 2008; Harriet Von York, 2006 and 2007; Jean Rice, 1954 and 2005; Gladys Balliet, present president, 2011, also, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2004 and also council president in 2005; LaRue Fritz, 1988 and 1989.
Additional living past president of Unit 314 are Sara Hofford, 1952 and 1973; Evelyn Nansteel, 1967 and 1972; Joyce Kopack, 1974, 1978, 1979, 1980, 1987, and council president 1988 and 1989.
