The menu at the Panther Valley Senior Center for the week of June 28-July 2 is as follows:

Monday: Turkey barbecue, cheese potatoes, green beans, cornbread or antipasto salad

Tuesday: Corn chowder soup, barbecue pork patty sandwich, coleslaw, cookie or chicken salad on a bagel

Wednesday: Ravioli, broccoli and cauliflower, yogurt or chef salad with chicken

Thursday: Vegetable soup, hot dog, broccoli slaw, fruit and yogurt

Friday: stuffed cabbage, mashed potatoes, carrots, chocolate cookie

The Panther Valley Senior Center has announced upcoming events from June 28-July 9.

Shut the Box on June 28 at 11 a.m.; Bingo on June 29 at 10:45 a.m.; Po-keno on June 30 at 11 a.m.; Bingo on July 1 at 10:45 a.m.; Game Day on July 2 at 10 a.m.

Center closed on July 5; Bingo on July 6 at 10:45 a.m.; Now You Have It Now You Don’t on July 7 at 11 a.m.; Horse racing on July 8 at 11 a.m.; Yahtzee on July 9 at 11 a.m.

Pool, cards, games and socialization available every day.

New members always welcome.

Womens club

The Panther Valley Women’s Club will have a “welcome back” meeting on June 28, at the Summit Hill Heritage Center, 1 W. Hazard St., at 6:30 p.m. If not up to date, please bring your yearly dues and $5 for the evening’s fare. Topic will be reorganization and how we will proceed for the upcoming year. New members are always welcome. Please follow CDC guidelines concerning masks, if you are not fully vaccinated.

Coaldale

American Legion breakfast

The Coaldale American Legion Post 170 will hold an all-you-may-eat breakfast from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Sunday. Cost is $9 for age 13 and up; under 12 years is $4. Note eat-in or takeout is OK, but no delivery will be provided for this event.
