State police at Schuylkill Haven - crashes

State police at Schuylkill Haven reported investigating the following crashes:

• A hit-and-run crash was reported at 4:26 p.m. on June 1 along Route 61 at the intersection with Route 183, in North Manheim Township. Troopers said Diane E. Bickelman, 62, of Schuylkill Haven, driving a 2019 Chevrolet Trax, was stopped at a stop sign on the off-ramp of 61 at 183 when it was rear-ended by another vehicle. After impact the other driver fled the scene northbound onto Cressona Mall Road.

• A crash occurred on June 2 at 1:23 p.m. along Route 61 in Orwigsburg. Troopers said a 16-year-old male from Reading, driving a 2018 Toyota RAV4, was stopped in the left lane attempting to merge into the right lane when his vehicle was rear-ended by a 2008 Ford Focus driven by Kaylee E. Kistler, 19, of Orwigsburg. Troopers said traffic was reduced in the area due to a work zone ahead.

No one was injured and the Ford was towed.

Kistler was cited for driving a vehicle at a unsafe speed.

• A Schuylkill County driver is facing a driving under the influence charge following a crash at 5:02 a.m. on June 2 along Route 61 in North Manheim Township. Troopers said Andrew Dotter, 34, of Schuylkill Haven, was driving a 2006 Nissan Sentra southbound when his vehicle left the road and struck guide rail of the center median.

Dotter, who was not injured, showed signs of impairment. His vehicle had to be towed.

• A two-vehicle crash was reported at 7:06 p.m. on May 27 along Route 895 in West Brunswick Township. Troopers said Louise A. Schickram, 68, of Auburn, driving a 2004 Dodge Dakota, and Andrea L. Zook, 19, of Auburn, driving a 2007 Subaru Impreza, were both westbound. Zook stopped for a vehicle in front of her and her vehicle was struck in the rear by Schickram’s vehicle.

No one was injured. Schickram was cited for following too closely.
