A Lake Harmony resident has been awarded the designation of Knight of the York Cross of Honour, representing the highest honorary degree in the York Rite of Freemasonry.

George Albert Reabold was conferred the degree, only bestowed upon people who have served the highest office in each of the four bodies of the rite.

Reabold served as Master of Laurel Lodge of Masons in 1957 and was High Priest of Laurel Lilly Chapter, Royal Arch Masons in 1968. In 1971, He was Commander of the Packer Commandery, Knights Templar, and last year he was Master of the Anthracite Council, Royal and Select Masters.

He was elected to membership in the Penn Priory on June 6.
