Local roundup: Results from June 4

Palmerton picked up a win in Lehigh Valley Connie Mack action Friday.

In other recent games, Lansford posted a pair of victories in the Schuylkill Teener League Senior Division.

Palmerton erupted for five runs in the bottom of the bottom of the fourth inning en route to a 9-5 win over North Parkland in Lehigh Valley Connie Mack play.

Trey Sterling finished 1-for-2 with two RBIs and a run scored for Palmerton, which had just two hits but drew 12 walks in the contest.

Nate Steinmetz (two walks) and Nate Stroup (one walk) also had RBIs, while Daniel Lucykanish also picked up a hit, scored twice and walked once in the win.

Luke Netznik and Owen Serfass both walked twice.

Ty Sander pitched three innings in relief, striking out three, to gain the win.

Blue Mountain-Lansford

The Lansford Krajciriks beat Blue Mountain 11-2 Wednesday behind a dominant outing on the mound from Cody Orsulak in Schuylkill Senior Teener League action.

Orsulak fired a complete game, retiring 18 of the last 19 hitters, as Lansford (2-0) cruised to the victory. The winning pitcher scattered five hits, allowed two earned runs, and struck out nine.

Hayden Goida had two hits and drove in three runs, and Carson Surotchak had a pair of hits and one RBI. Matt Engler had two RBIs and Orsulak helped his own cause with a single and three runs scored.

Lansford-Valley Athletic Supply

The Lansford Krajcirik topped Tamaqua Valley Athletic 9-1 on Tuesday.

Hayden Goida, Michael Pascoe, Cody Orsulak, and Matt Engler all had two hits for Lansford. Goida and Orsulak both chipped in a double and two RBIs, with Engler doubling and scoring twice.

Pascoe was in total control on the mound, picking up the win while scattering two hits and allowing one earned run. He struck out nine in five innings of work.

Drew Kokinda and Trey McAndrew also doubled for Lansford.

For Tamaqua, Cian McLauglin doubled and drove in a run, and Timmy Fritzinger singled.
