Two new part-time correctional officers were hired for the Schuylkill County Prison at a special Prison Board meeting recently.

Hired were Eric Miranda and Robert Boardman, both of Pottsville. The hirings are conditional pending passing all necessary requirements. Prison Warden David Wapinsky said there are two open slots for training.

“They will start on June 7,” Wapinsky said.
