The Schuylkill County Director of Public Works is retiring.

Paul Fetterolf’s last day is June 30.

He was a building superintendent from May 2012 to May 2016 until he became interim public works director soon thereafter. Fetterolf has been in his current position since June 2016. He didn’t return a call for comment Wednesday.

“Paul did an excellent job working with the staff. He will definitely be missed,” Commissioner Gary Hess said.

Commissioners George Halcovage Jr. and Chairman Barron “Boots” Hetherington thanked Fetterolf for his dedication.

“You wouldn’t meet a more dedicated guy,” Hetherington said.
