A Carbon County jury panel deliberated for about an hour and a half on Wednesday afternoon before finding a Lehighton man not guilty of all charges filed against him.

Robert Henning II, 28, was found not guilty of three counts of indecent assault and one count each of corruption of a minor and open lewdness by the panel of seven women and five men.Henning was charged by Franklin Township Police Chief Thomas Beltz with having inappropriate contact with a young girl over an almost seven year period while she was between the ages of four and 11.The trial began Tuesday with the girl, now 15, telling about the incidents she alleged occurred at a home along Main Road, in Franklin Township.Wednesday morning Henning took the witness stand and denied all the allegations. When defense Attorney Gregory Mousseau asked Henning if he did any of the things the girl accused him off, he replied, "No, I did not."There were other issues involved in the case which the defense blamed for the accusations made by the girl, which the jury apparently believed.The girl alleged that Henning would take her to his bedroom and show her pornographic videos on his computer. During this period, the girl said, he would touch her inappropriately over her body and make her touch his private parts.In 2008 the girl told her mother of the incidents while living in Bangor. The mother then reported the allegations to Bangor police. Bangor police, after interviewing the girl and determing the alleged incidents occurred in Franklin Township, turned over the investgtation to Beltz.Assistant District Attorney Michael Greek prosecuted the case. President Judge Roger N. Nanovic II presided over the trial.
