A hike will be held on May 31, beginning at 10:30 a.m. on the mountain behind Locust Lake State Park and will include a visit to Silver Creek Fire Tower and Reservoir.
The hike is 7.5 miles in length and moderate to difficult. The pine stands and brush are perfect habitat for birds and other wildlife.
Participants will meet at the visitor parking lot at the park, which is located before the contact station at 10:15 a.m. The group will travel to another area to start the hike.
Bring a lunch and a pet for a relaxing hike in the woods. All pets must be leashed and get along with people and other pets. Shine only. Registration is required.
Preregistration can be done by calling Robin Tracey at 570-467-2506. No walk-ins. Bring a mask. Maximum of 10 people.
