Hillside Road in Ryan Township was closed this afternoon after a man lost control of his Jeep and snapped off off a utility pole.

The crash occurred at 4:30 p.m., about a half mile south of Route 54.

The force of the impact caused the Jeep to roll onto its side.

Power lines running through a tree were smoking.

The identity and condition of the driver were not available at the scene.

Rush Township fire police maintained traffic control at the scene.
