Schuylkill County Commissioners and the Schuylkill County Mental Health/Developmental Services and Drug & Alcohol Programs are launching a monthly Awareness Project: May is Mental Health Awareness Month.

During the month, the Schuylkill County Mental Health/Developmental Services and Drug & Alcohol Programs will be addressing the effects of mental health disorders in adults and children. Banners are hanging in front of both the Schuylkill County Courthouse, 401 N. Second St. Pottsville, and the Human Services building at 410 N. Centre St, Pottsville.

May 3-7 was declared Children’s Mental Health Awareness Week.
