A program to help businesses in the hospitality industry as a result of COVID-19 is closed in Carbon County.
On Thursday, Commissioner Chris Lukasevich announced that the Carbon Chamber has stopped accepting applications for the Pennsylvania COVID-19 Hospitality Industry Recovery Program because all funds have been distributed.
Carbon received $726,949 through the state to distribute to businesses in this industry through a grant-based program.
Lukasevich said that 33 businesses applied and 23 were approved for grants ranging from $5,000 to $50,000.
