Price for Bowmanstown council

I’m writing to endorse the candidacy of Ben Price for Bowmanstown Borough Council. Ben is a graduate of West Chester University and a resident of the Borough. He is a member of Bowmanstown Area Residents Connected, a community group that sponsors local events, such as the community yard sale and annual dog show. BARC raises funds to support beautification projects and the purchase of equipment, such as park benches and bike racks, for the community.

Ben works for the Community Environmental Legal Defense Fund as their National Organizing Director and has 17 years of experience working with municipalities and local organizations in Pennsylvania and in other states. He has assisted municipal governments draft local ordinances to protect residents’ health and safety, as well as to conserve the natural environment. Price has also assisted municipalities through the process of attaining home rule status, including consulting with elected government study commissioners to draft home rule charters. He served a six-year term as municipal auditor in North Middleton Township in Cumberland County, Pennsylvania. I asked Ben why he’s running and here’s what he said:

“These are hard times for small town Pennsylvanians. The basic things we used to be able to count on, like road repairs and dependable sanitation, have been lost through a nagging lack of leadership. Voters have been convinced to vote against their own best interests, but it’s time to replace the rhetoric with public sanity, and with real public servants. Council members should represent the people in their community, and no one else. It would be my honor to represent the people of Bowmanstown.”

If you live in Bowmanstown, I think you should vote for Ben Price. I’m going to.
