A motorist escaped injury Friday evening in a crash in East Penn Township. The crash occurred just after 7 p.m. as a pickup was traveling north on South Dieters Hill Road and lost control. The truck crossed the roadway, entered the berm and plummeted down a steep embankment, hitting a tree. State police at Lehighton are investigating the incident.
