A replacement flag in honor of a late veteran and supporter of local athletics and community organizations has been donated to the Palmerton United Veterans Organization.
Dick and Darlene Nothstein of Country Harvest Family Market recently presented a $550 check donation to the veterans to buy the flag in memory of the late Harry Brown.
“The check was to buy a replacement flag, when needed, in honor of Harry Brown, who passed away last year,” Dick Nothstein said. “Harry was a veteran and big supporter of local athletics and many community organizations.”
Brown died Thanksgiving Day morning. He was 76.
