The Northwestern and Palmerton boys and girls track and field teams all posted wins on Tuesday.

TRACK AND FIELD

Pen Argyl-Palmerton

Palmerton came away with a Colonial League sweep against Pen Argyl.

The Bombers (5-1) defeated the Green Knights 92-58 on the boys’ side, while the Lady Bombers (3-3) edged the visitors for a 79-71 victory.

Emma Christman won the 100, long jump and triple jump for Palmerton. Jonathan Perloni (110H, 300H) and Corlan Wood (triple jump, pole vault) also posted multiple wins.

Natalie Mosier (1600), Abigail Fredericks (discus), Abby Reis (javelin), Ana Recker (pole vault) all had first-place finishes in the girls’ meet, while Lucas Heydt (100), Devon White (200) and Michael Noyola (400) grabbed wins in the boys’ competition.

Northwestern rolled to a Colonial League sweep against Catasauqua.

The Tigers posted a 125.5-23.5 victory in the girls meet and won by a 115-31 margin on the boys’ side.

Lauren Schellhammer (100, 400), Emily Fagan (1600, 3200), Emma Nelson (long jump, triple jump) and Caitlyn Miller (discus, javelin) led a strong showing for the Tigers (5-1) in the girls’ competition.

Cole Chukoskie (800, 1600) and Justin Rodda (high jump, long jump) posted multiple event wins in the boys’ meet for Northwestern (5-1).

Northern Lehigh’s girls earned a split in a Colonial League tri-meet against Southern Lehigh and Saucon Valley.

Hailey Evans swept the shot put, discus and javelin for the Lady Bulldogs (2-5), who topped Saucon Valley 80.5-68.5.

Kristen Guelcher also won the 100 for Northern Lehigh, which suffered a 103-46 setback against unbeaten Southern Lehigh (7-0).

Brady Hanzarik won the pole vault in the boys’ meet as the Bulldogs (0-7) were swept by Southern Lehigh (127-14) and Saucon Valley (96-41).
