Tamaqua police charge woman with theft, drunkenness

Tamaqua police reported the arrest of a Harrisburg woman on theft and other counts.

Police said on April 13 at 1:09 p.m. they were dispatched to the area of 223 South St., for a report of a woman stealing items from a vehicle.

Officers found Marley C. Geusic, 32, in the rear area of 223 Orwigsburg St, next to a 2014 GMC Sierra. She was visibly impaired to the extent she was unsteady on her feet and unable to make rational statements. She admitted to entering into the GMC and had the keys the owner left in the vehicle.

She was taken into custody and charged with theft from a motor vehicle and public drunkenness. She was arraigned before a district judge and committed to the county prison in Pottsville, failing to post 10 percent of $5,000 bail.
