A Carbon County driver was the victim of a hit-and-run driver recently in a crash in Lehigh County.

State police at Fogelsville said the crash occurred at 6 a.m. on April 16 along Interstate 78 in Salisbury Township. Troopers said Keri L. McArdle, 36, of Lehighton, was driving a 2015 Chevrolet Traverse in the left passing lane eastbound while another vehicle, believed to be a 2020 Nissan Cube, was eastbound in the center lane behind a tractor trailer rig. The other driver attempted to pass McArdle and entered the left lane but could not due so to little spacing between the vehicles.

He then went to the right lane, next to the shoulder of the road. From this lane his vehicle crossed three lanes of travel and then sideswiped the passenger side mirror of the Traverse. The other driver continued on without stopping.

McArdle was not injured and damages were termed minor to the Traverse.
