In other business, Coaldale council:
• Agreed to spend $15,450 for surveillance cameras to be placed at the borough offices, borough garage and Coaldale Complex. $5,000 will come from grant money.
• Council Vice President Clair Remington said the borough’s 2021 paving program will include Moser Avenue between Third and Fourth streets, as well as High Street between Fifth and Sixth streets.
• Council agreed to spend $250 for paint and supplies from Fred Johnson Paint & Wallpaper to repaint the Welcome to Coaldale sign. Council member Wayne Figner said he and council member Yvonne Stoffey agreed to volunteer to repaint the sign.
• Council tabled the sale of two properties currently on the county repository list. One property is on West Water Street, and the other is on Moser Avenue.
• Kathy Montesrin thanked council for opening the Coaldale Complex for food pantry events. She said the events are now moving to a more permanent location.
