On this date: April 15, 1965

Richard Forgay accepted the gavel and position of exalted ruler of Elks Lodge 1337, Lansford, during an installation ceremony held last evening in the lodge headquarters.

He succeeds William Boyle.

Other new officers of the lodge include Donald Huegel, leading knight; Edward Farrell, loyal knight; Thomas Farrell, lecturing knight; James Gormley, esquire; James McGroarty, chaplain; Harold Brehm, tiler; Clarence Kern, inner guard; Thomas Welsh, secretary; and Adolph Pancheri, treasurer.

During the program, John Mitchell Sr. and Edward P. Boyle were elected to life membership of the Elks for 30 years of continued service.
