2021 primary election: Gonzalez announces candidacy for Summit Hill tax collector

Lacey L. Gonzalez has announced her candidacy for the Borough of Summit Hill tax collector.

Growing up in Summit Hill, Gonzalez learned the value of hard work, dedication and determination. She believes that it is so important to have qualified candidates serve in financial positions within the community. If elected to this position, she will embody the values of the Summit Hill community and those needed for this position: knowledge, integrity, transparency and honesty.

Gonzalez is the daughter of Carole Kruslicky and the granddaughter of Walter and Margaret Kruslicky. Gonzalez graduated in 2000 from Panther Valley High School with many academic and athletic honors. She went on to attend Alvernia College, where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in accounting and management with a minor in communication in 2004 and a Master in Business Administration with an emphasis in entrepreneurship in 2006. In 2017, she attended Temple, where she obtained a certificate in teaching in higher education, and she is currently in pursuit of her Doctorate in Professional Studies in instructional design leadership at Franklin University.

Currently, Gonzalez is an assistant professor of business and accounting at Lehigh Carbon Community College, where she also functions as the faculty liaison for the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Center at the College. She is a member of Kappa Beta Delta and has been an employee of the college since 2007. In addition, Gonzalez runs a tax and accounting practice located in Summit Hill, serves as the Coaldale Borough treasurer, and volunteers at the Lansford Library, where she prepares taxes for the underserved community in the area.

Gonzalez is looking forward to the opportunity to serve a community that has meant so much to her through the years and is humbly asking for your support on May 18.
