The East End Fire Company of Tamaqua celebrated its 65th anniversary at a banquet held in the L&M Hall in Tamaqua with over 230 people in attendance.

Rob Jones, company president, welcomed the crowd while E. Franklin Griffiths served as master of ceremonies.

In addition to Jones, company officers are Howard C. Schaeffer, vice president; Dennis McLaughlin, financial secretary; Stephen Dobrosky, secretary-treasurer; and William Forster, Eugene McDonald and Robert Delay, trustees.

During the program, Michael Turks and Thomas Klusko were honored upon their retirements as financial secretary and engine room officer, respectively, both having given many years of service to the company.
