On Thursday, the Carbon County commissioners provided an update on the Pennsylvania COVID-19 Hospitality Industry Recovery Program.

The county received $726,949 to distribute to Carbon businesses within the hospitality industry that were affected by the pandemic.

Commissioner Chris Lukasevich said that to date $140,000 has been nominated to be awarded to three entities in three different municipalities.

He also urged any business that meets the eligibility and has been negatively affected by the pandemic to go to the Carbon County Chamber website at www.carboncountychamber.org/covid-19 for more information and to apply.
