Schuylkill crashes reported

State police at Schuylkill Haven reported on the following crashes investigated by troopers on Schuylkill County roadways:

• A hit-and-run crash occurred on March 25 at 5:21 p.m. along West Adamsdale Road in North Manheim Township. Troopers said a vehicle was westbound and the driver attempting to negotiate a left curve when the vehicle went onto the berm and struck a PennDOT sign. The driver then left the scene without reporting the incident.

• A two-vehicle crash was reported at 4:35 p.m. on March 24 along Route 61 near West Market Street, in North Manheim Township. Troopers said Jonathan M. Shaver, 28, of Macungie, Lehigh County, was stopped in traffic while northbound operating a 2009 Freightliner tractor with trailer. Erik G. Welch, 30, of Pine Grove, was northbound driving a 2020 Hyundai Elantra. He failed to stop with the front of his vehicle hitting the rear of the trailer.

No one was injured. The Hyundai was towed. Welch was cited for driving a vehicle at a unsafe speed.

• A one-vehicle crash was reported at 4:15 p.m. on March 24 along Fork Mountain Road in West Brunswick Township. Eric M. Arndt, 24, of Cressona, was driving a 2019 Kia Sorento northbound when he suffered an unknown medical injury. His vehicle left the road and impacted with an embankment.

Arndt sustained a suspected minor injury and was treated at the scene.

A two-vehicle crash was reported at 6:27 p.m. on March 20 along Route 183 in North Manheim Township. Troopers said Janet L. Whalen, 47, of Cressona, was driving a 2017 Jeep Compass and turning left into an unnamed street which leads into the Cressona Mall. Her vehicle struck a 2015 Ford Explorer driven by Renay T. Backes, 46, of Coal Township.

No one was injured.

Troopers cited Whalen for duty to give information and render aid.
