State police at Schuylkill Haven report on arrests

State police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks reported on the following incidents:

• On March 7 at 1 p.m. troopers observed a 1999 Jeep Cherokee near a burned out hotel along Route 51 in North Manheim Township. A registration check showed the owner to be Richard Mozeleski, 28, of Port Carbon. There was an active warrant for his arrest issued to county detectives. Mozeleski was taken into custody without incident and during a pat-down troopers found two small bags of methamphetamine and a smoking pipe.

Mozeleski was taken to the county prison in Pottsville on the warrant. Troopers said charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia will be filed against him.

• On March 15 at 3:08 p.m. troopers stopped a 2006 Nissan Altima for speeding along Route 183 at Kiehner Road in Wayne Township. The driver, Brandon Symons, 21, of Schuylkill Haven, was found in possession of a small amount of marijuana. Charges will be filed.

• On Feb. 27 at 4:32 p.m. troopers received a call for a man appearing to be very confused in the Rosie Write Craft store in King’s Village, Norwegian Township. Upon arrival troopers learned the suspect had driven home. He was located and identified as James Reardon, 55, of Minersville. It was determined he was under the influence of alcohol and will be charged with DUI.

• On March 5 at 1:09 a.m. troopers conducted a traffic stop of a 2006 Nissan Sentra in the 1300 block of Route 61, in North Manheim Township. The driver, Andrew Dotter, 33, of Schuylkill Haven, had heroin, methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. Charges will be filed.

• On March 13, troopers handled a walk-in complaint at the barracks from a man who was under the influence. He became combative with troopers and was subdued. The suspect was a 33-year-old man from Orwigsburg, who troopers declined to identify. He was taken to a hospital for evaluation. He was charged with criminal mischief for causing $1,000 damage to a bench in the lobby.

• On March 20 at 9:07 a.m. troopers made a traffic stoop of a 2013 Chrysler 200 along Route 183 at Acorn Lane in Wayne Township. As a result the driver, Donnell Andrews, 43, of Philadelphia, was charged with felony drug possession and firearm possession charges. An anonymous caller reported Andrews was driving erratically at the time the stop was made.

• On March 6 at 11:30 a.m. troopers conducted a traffic stop of a 2004 Ford Expedition in the 500 block of Route 183 in Wayne Township. The driver, Carl Figueroa, 39, of Lancaster, was found to be under the influence and was placed under arrest for driving under the influence.

• On March 13 at 10:15 a.m. troopers responded to Renningers Market, located off Route 61 in North Manheim Township, for a report of a disturbance between two people. As a result two men, ages 53 and 42, both from Pottsville, who troopers declined to identify, are facing harassment - physical contact, charges.
