The Schuylkill County Coroner’s Office is now charging for fingerprint and DNA cards in addition to fees associated with those requests.

The Schuylkill County Commissioners approved the changes at Wednesday’s meeting. A $25 fee and $30 for copying costs and administrative fee for fingerprint cards. DNA cards will cost $100 plus a $30 copying cost and administrative fee.

Deputy Coroners Albert Barnes and John Mika said they have been getting a lot of fingerprint and DNA requests.

“Last year, we had about 30 fingerprint requests,” Barnes said.

Mika said he has checked with other counties to see what they are charging for.
