A Schuylkill County man was struck and killed by a vehicle early Sunday morning.

State police at Schuylkill Haven identified the victim as John Anthony Kocher, 53, of Tremont.Troopers said Alicia Hope Kintzel, 34, of Pine Grove, was driving a pickup truck westbound on Route 895, a tenth of a mile west of the Covered Bridge Road, in Washington Township, about 12:59 a.m. when she struck Kocher, who was walking in the eastbound lane. Kocher was pronounced dead at the scene.Troopers said the investigation into the incident is continuing.
