Navy Club elects officers

The Navy Club of Carbon County, Ship 260 NCUSA held its annual election of officerson March 31. Installed were, seated, Robert Siesputowski, junior executive officer andhistorian; and standing from left, William Flail, three-year trustee; Anthony Onichmowski, chaplain; Richard Tamplin, master at arms; Scott Reinhart, commander; StanleyJaroszewski, senior executive officer; Phillip Parsons, ship's writer; and John J. Mauro,paymaster. The officers are elected for a one-year term. The oath of office was administered by Joseph Toth, past national senior executive officer. The Navy Club of Carbon County is active in presenting a program to schools and youth groups "Honoring Our Flag," and will be participating in parades and activities throughout the county. Membership is open to any honorably discharged veteran of the U.S. Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard and wartimeMerchant mariners. Meetings are held the last Monday of each month at VFW Post 8008, Nesquehoning.
