The Tamaqua Area School Board of Directors dealt with a number of sports related resignations and hirings at its Nov. 18 meeting.

Resigning from their positions were: Ian Blyth, head boys soccer coach; and Stacey Setlock, head volleyball coach. Both resignations are effective at the end of the 2014-205 school year.The following coaches were hired, at salaries to be determined: Philip Traube, ninth grade boys basketball; Ed Titus, eighth grade boys basketball; James M. Barron, seventh grade boys basketball; Joey Marcin. volunteer assistant boys basketball; Dane DeWire, volunteer assistant swimming; Kolby Mashack, assistant wrestling; Jonathan Shirvinski, head junior high wrestling; Rod McHugh, volunteer assistant wrestling; Caleb Calarco, assistant varsity baseball; Kyle D. Faust, junior varsity softball; and Clem McCarroll, head girls soccer.
