Schuylkill County commissioners on Wednesday hired a Butler Township woman as a mental health program specialist 1 at $44,714 a year.

Kathy Quick will start her job on Dec. 1.Commissioners also hired a new senior programmer/analyst for the county's MIS department. He is Ronald Souchak, Ashland, and will be paid $23.90 an hour. Souchak starts his new job Dec. 1.Commissioners also approved personnel moves at the county nursing home, Rest Haven. They hired Theresa Kimmel, Hegins, as a part-time licensed practical nurse at $16.96 an hour; Jill Popalis, Frackville, as a full-time licensed practical nurse at $16.96 an hour; Jolinda Kahley, Leesport, as a part-time nursing assistant at $12.44 an hour; and transferred Taylor Maskerines and Bethann Clark, both of Pottsville, from part-time to full-time nursing assistants at $12.44 an hour each.
