A Luzerne County man admitted bringing illegal drugs to the Carbon County prison while other defendants also entered guilty pleas to drug-related charges on Friday before Judge Joseph J. Matika.

Kori Stephen Errichetto, 23, of Hazleton, pleaded to one count of possession of a controlled substance - contraband into a prison.He was arrested on Aug. 3, 2015, when he reported to the county prison in Nesquehoning to begin serving another sentence. During the intake process prison officials found illegal drugs in his wallet. The charges were filed by Nesquehoning police.Since his arrest Errichetto told Matika he entered the inpatient rehabilitation program of the Salvation Army and successfully completed a six and a half month stay.Matika sentenced him to serve six to one day less 24 months in prison and gave him credit for the time in the Salvation Army program and paroled him. He was also ordered to get a drug and alcohol evaluation, zero tolerance for drug and alcohol use, supply a DNA sample and render 75 hours of community service.Three countsWillis Evan Negron, 36, of Lehighton, pleaded guilty in three pending cases to one count of possession of a controlled substance and two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia.He was arrested on the first count on July 1, 2015, following a vehicle stop by state police at Lehighton. The second incident occurred on July 5, 2015, and the third Oct. 9, 2015, also vehicle stops by state police. In all three he was a passenger in the vehicle.Negron is currently an inmate in the county prison but also has a detainer on him from Schuylkill County.Matika placed him on probation for a year on each count, running concurrently, and ordered he get a drug and alcohol evaluation, zero tolerance for drug and alcohol use and render 50 hours of community service when released. He will be now be transferred to Schuylkill County.Other pleasKathleen Maureen Roth, 55, of Jim Thorpe, pleaded to one count of possession of drug paraphernalia. She was arrested on Dec. 4, 2016, by Jim Thorpe police while they were serving a warrant on her in another case.Matika deferred sentencing because the other case is pending before Judge Steven R. Serfass in which a guilty plea is scheduled for March 14.Adelaida Lillian Cruz, 32, of Lansford, pleaded to one count each of possession of drug paraphernalia and false identification to law enforcement.She was arrested by Lansford police on April 21, 2016, in the area of 337 W. Kline Ave. Police responded to the area for a dispute. The drug paraphernalia was found in her purse. At the time she gave a false name to the officers.She is currently an inmate in the county prison with another criminal case pending.Matika placed her on probation for a year on each count, running concurrently, and ordered her to get a drug and alcohol evaluation and render 50 hours of community service when released from prison.Each defendant sentenced must also pay court costs of about $1,000 and a $50 per month supervision fee while on parole or probation.
