The Jim Thorpe boys’ basketball team posted a win over Roberto Clemente Charter School on Wednesday.

Jim Thorpe-Roberto Clemente Charter School

A 21-point second quarter gave Jim Thorpe the spark it needed to pull away for a 54-40 nonleague win over Roberto Clemente Charter School.

Derryl Fisher sparked the Olympians (2-4) with 17 points, scoring six in the second period. Chris Condly added 14 points.

The Wildcats’ Ceballos finished with 10 points, while Pena followed with nine.

A 15-point third quarter proved to be the difference as Nativity came out on top with a 61-49 victory over Tamaqua.

After holding onto a six-point lead after half, the Hilltoppers (5-2) were able to outscore the Blue Raiders 15-6 in the third to pull away with a win at home.

The Hilltoppers’ Marquis Ratliff led all scorers with 23 points, while Kegan Hertz chipped in with 12.

Nate Gregoire netted a Blue Raiders’ (0-5) high 22 points, while Ian Davis added 10.
