A Carbon County woman admitted her part in a burglary in which cash, jewelry and other items were taken.

Nakai Linzy Moyer, 25, of Lehighton, pleaded guilty before Judge Steven R. Serfass to one count each of criminal trespass, a felony two, and theft, a misdemeanor two.She was charged by Lehighton police with entering a Lentz Avenue residenceon May 13, 2016, and removing $50 in cash, a blank check, two gold rings and credit cards. She was caught not far from the scene when borough officers responded to a report of a burglary in progress.She admitted cutting a screen on a window to gain entry. She had the knife she used when she was taken into custody.She admitted to a long-term drug abuse problem and said she stole to supply her habit.Serfass sentenced her to serve three to one day less 24 months in prison followed by 18 months of probation. She was also ordered to get a drug and alcohol evaluation and follow any recommendation for treatment, zero tolerance to drug and alcohol use, render a total of 175 hours of community service, pay court costs of about $1,000, pay a $50 per month supervision fee while on parole or probation and supply a DNA sample.She was given credit for 148 days spent in jail on the charges and paroled.
