Fifteen first-time offenders were placed in the Accelerated Rehabilitation Disposition by Judge Steven R. Serfass on Thursday in the county court.
All were placed for a year, unless otherwise noted.Barry John Grieves,46, of Philadelphia, was placed on a driving under the influence charge. He was arrested on Aug. 7, 2015, along Route 534 in Penn Forest Township by state police at Fern Ridge. A test showed 0.30 BAC.He was assessed $550, ordered to render 50 hours of community service and his license was suspended for 60 days.William Michael Hess-Angst,22, of Lehighton, was placed on a DUI charge. He was arrested on July 3, 2015, along Mahoning Street by Lehighton police. A test showed the presence of a controlled substance.He was assessed $600, ordered to render 50 hours of community service and his license was suspended for 60 days.John Dennis Ivanitch,68, of Albrightsville, was placed on a DUI charge. He was arrested on Sept. 4, 2015, along Route 903 in Penn Forest Township by state police at Lehighton. A test showed 0.11 BAC.He was assessed $500, ordered to render 50 hours of community service and his license was suspended for 30 days.Erica A. Kates,27, of Lehighton, was placed for two years on a charge of forgery and related counts. She was arrested by Lehighton police on Feb. 5, 2015.She was assessed $650 and ordered to render 200 hours of community service.Loretta Denise Lambert,52, of Mount Bethel, Northampton County, was placed on a DUI charge. She was arrested on April 10, 2015, along Route 209 by Lehighton police. A test showed the presence of a controlled substance.She was assessed $650, ordered to render 50 hours of community service and her license was suspended for 60 days.Louis Paul Marquette,37, of Dickson City, Lackawanna County, was placed for 18 months on a DUI charge. He was arrested on May 6 by Franklin Township police. No report on a blood test.He was assessed $550, ordered to render 50 hours of community service and his license was suspended for 60 days.Edward R. Whittaker,25, of Jim Thorpe, was placed on a DUI charge. He was arrested on Aug. 27, 2015, along Route 903 in Penn Forest Township by state police at Fern Ridge. A test showed 0.17 BAC.He was assessed $550, ordered to render 50 hour of community service and his license was suspended for 60 days.Leah Farber,22, of Andreas, was placed on a charge of criminal conspiracy-receiving stolen property. She was charged by Lehighton police for an incident on May 2, 2015.She was assessed $650 and ordered to render 50 hours of community service.Courtney Jill Green,28, of Palmerton, was placed on a DUI charge. She was arrested on June 16, 2015, along Bank Street in Bowmanstown by state police at Lehighton. A test showed the presence of a controlled substance.She was assessed $600, ordered to render 50 hours of community service and her license was suspended for 60 days.Erik Philip Kraft,24, of Saylorsburg, was placed on a charge of recklessly endangering another person and related counts. He was arrested on Oct. 3, 2015, by Franklin Township police following a vehicle chase along Route 209.He was assessed $450 and ordered to render 50 hours of community service.Michael Joseph Kromer,35, of Slatington, was placed on a charge of materially false written statement for the purchase of a firearm. He was charged by Franklin Township police with making a false statement on a firearms application at Buck's Sporting Goods store on April 6, 2015.He was assessed $450 and ordered to render 50 hours of community service.Amanda Lyn Leggio,39, of Kunkletown, was placed for nine months on a DUI charge. She was arrested on Aug. 8, 2015, along Pohopoco Drive in Franklin Township by state police at Lehighton. A test showed 0.18 BAC.She was assessed $550, ordered to render 50 hours of community service and her license was suspended for 60 days.Ellisa Anne Plocinik,19, of Lehighton, was placed on a DUI charge. She was arrested on April 4, 2015, along the 400 block of Delaware Avenue by Palmerton police after being involved in a crash. A test showed 0.07 BAC.She was assessed $450 and ordered to render 50 hours of community service and license suspended for 90 days.Rickey Alan Tartaglia,27, of Lehighton, was placed on a possession of drug paraphernalia charge. He was arrested on March 6, 2015, in the area of 601 Delaware Ave., by Palmerton police.He was assessed $450 and ordered to get a drug and alcohol evaluation and follow any recommendation for treatment and render 50 hours of community service.Trevor Harold Zimmerman,46, of Lehighton, was placed on a DUI charge. He was arrested on June 27, 2015, along Long Run Road by Franklin Township police. A test showed 0.20 BAC.He was assessed $550, ordered to render 50 hours of community service and his license was suspended for 60 days.Each defendant must also pay court costs of about $1,000 and a $50 per month supervision fee while in the program.If a person successfully completes all conditions of the program, their record is wiped clean. However, if they fail to complete it, or are revoked from it, they would face trial on all pending charges. A person does not admit guilt in entering the program.
