The Sunday school of St. John's Lutheran Church, South Avenue, held the annual Halloween party onOct. 31. Prizes were awarded to the following children: most original, fairy, Delilah Levitz; cutest, Madison Driesbach; ugliest/scariest, prom queen, Kaylyn Costello; funniest, nerd, Kylee Adamitis; and judges' choice, firefighter, Carter Reis.Class of 1965Members of the Jim Thorpe High School class of 1965, will hold their luncheon on Nov. 17, at noon at the Hope Paddock, West Columbia Street, Allentown. A dinner is planned and will be held at Dean Anthony's Restaurant on North Street.Reservations are required. Church members interested in attending should sign up at the church, or call the church office and leave a message. Deadline is Sunday. There is no charge.The event will begin at 3 p.m. with a service, at the restaurant. Guest preacher will be the Rev. Fred Crawford, assisted by the Rev. Bill Thompson.
