The unofficial 2017 primary election results for contested races in the Northern Lehigh area:
Slatington Borough CouncilThere were two four-year terms and two two-year terms up for grabs on Slatington Borough Council.For the four-year terms, Democratic candidate Michael J. Brogan Sr., received 107 votes, followed by Republican candidate Jon W. Rinker, 78, and Democratic candidate Melvin R. Gildner, 73On the two-year terms, Brogan received 99 votes, while Gildner received 67.Northern Lehigh school boardThere were two four-year terms up for grabs on Northern Lehigh School Board, where two incumbents ran unopposed.In Lehigh County, Robert Keegan Jr. was the top vote-getter on the Democratic side with 281 votes, followed by Gary S. Fedorcha with 271.On the Republican side, Keegan received 423 votes, while Fedorcha got 402.In Northampton County, Fedorcha was the top vote-getter on the Democratic side with 38 votes, followed by Keegan with 37. There were 14 write-in votes.On the Republican side, Fedorcha was the top vote-getter with 23 votes, followed by Keegan with 21. There were nine write-in votes.The district includes the boroughs of Slatington and Walnutport, and Washington Township.
