Pocono Mountain Regional police reported on two driving under the influence (DUI) arrests on Monroe County roads.
Police said on May 31 about 1:04 a.m. along Lakeshore Drive, in Tobyhanna Township, two patrol cars were almost hit head-on in the Arrowhead Lakes development. The driver of the suspect vehicle was identified as Gregory Costantini, 65, of Cinniminson, N.J. He was found to be under the influence and failed field sobriety tests. He was then taken to the Pocono Medical Center (PMC), East Stroudsburg, for a blood test. Police said Costantini will be charged.On May 24 about 1:55 a.m. officers made a vehicle stop along SR115 in Tunkhannock Township, for an equipment violation. The driver was identified as Stephen Pellegrino, 22, of Blakeslee. He was found to be under the influence and failed field sobriety tests.He was taken to PMC for a blood test which revealed he was over the legal limit of .08 percent. He will be charged, police said.
