A one-car crash on Route 209 near Lehighton sent one person to the hospital and tied up traffic for more than an hour.

The driver's dog was also reported missing after the crash.The wreck occurred around 4:45 p.m. Friday along Route 209 in the area of Beaver Dam Road.Dispatchers said they received a call from OnStar, who reported that a driver had rolled her vehicle.The driver was reportedly traveling on Route 209 south, headed toward Jim Thorpe in a BMW sport utility vehicle when the crash occurred.She was airlifted Lehigh Valley Hospital.Dispatchers said the woman was out of the vehicle just after the crash. The OnStar operator told dispatchers that she reportedly suffered injuries to her head and arm but did not lose consciousness in the crash.Police are still looking for the driver's dog. Mahoning Township Police Chief Audie Mertz said that a small white dog belonging to the driver was also in the vehicle, and ran away after the crash. The dog is named Hunter.
