The Fall Foliage Festival in Jim Thorpe runs for three consecutive weekends starting today and continuing Sunday.

Other dates include: Oct. 8 and 9, and 15 and 16. Activities and entertainment will run from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., rain or shine.What will there be to do? Take a scenic train ride, tour the haunted old jail or go on spooky evening ghost walks.There will also be music performed on four stages, a variety of food vendors, an unique arts and crafts fair, and of course, shopping downtown.Free parking will be available at Mauch Chunk Lake Park (625 Lentz Trail) with a shuttle running to the Mauch Chunk Opera House (14 W. Broadway). The cost to ride round trip is $4 for adults and $2 round trip for children aged 6 to 12 years old. The shuttle hours are: 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturdays, Oct. 1, 8 and 15; 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sundays, Oct. 2 and 16; and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 9.
