West Penn fire personnel were called into service Sunday afternoon when a tree fell across utility lines. The incident began just after 4 p.m. along Strauss Valley Road just north of Dairy Road. Firefighters found a large tree fell from the west berm onto heavy utility lines running across the roadway. Crews used chain saws to cut the tree and remove it off the road.
